Ian is a highly experienced Physiotherapist who also has a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. He specialises in treating occupational related and sports related injury. For the last 10 years, Ian has worked in private practice and education. During his time as a qualified physiotherapist Ian has worked with elite athletes around the world including Team GB and 2012 Olympians. Ian has worked at all levels in sports and is currently providing physiotherapy to local elite sports clubs. Ian prides himself in spending time with his patients in order to give them the most efficient and effective treatment. He has a range of treatment options that he delivers in an enthusiastic and energetic way. These include joint mobilisation and manipulation, exercise therapy, soft tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cryotherapy, acupuncture, posture and ergonomics and more. Ian is passionate about everything Physiotherapy related and he takes a genuine pleasure in getting his patients achieving their goals.
Ian takes pride in delivering an evidence led approach and has contributed to this with published research articles in treatments such as acupuncture and athletic taping whilst working as a senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire. In addition to the above, Ian is committed to the education and development of up and coming therapists. He is committed to improving the hands on skills and rehabilitations skills of the next generation of therapist. He runs courses for newly qualified Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Sports Scientists and Strength and conditioners. These courses include: Sports Massage, Athletic taping.
